- I used the Central Point Backup for Windows (version 1.1 or 7.1, depending
- on where you read the documentation) that comes with my new PC Tools 7.1
- over this weekend, and while it "did the job", and I could restore files, it
- was rather flaky in some aspects of the interface.
-
- Anyway, I popped into the Central Point BBS the other night, and found out
- that a version 7.2 is now out, specifically built to run with Windows 3.1.
- It's definitely a new version for Windows -- instead of altering the
- SYSTEM.INI file to use vsd.386, they now appear to use (I believe) a VXD
- module instead.
-
- Called Central Point up today; as one would expect, they can't do anything
- until my registration form arrives, and then it'll cost me $26 to upgrade.
- *sigh* Maybe I'll just use the DOS version...

- than a breadbox!"
