- We have a 286 based compatible computer running IBM DOS V5.00. We
- installed Borland C++ V2.0 and tried to run it. Everything worked
- fine.
-
- Later, upon cleaning up some hard disk space, the machine started
- coming back with the error:
-
- Memory Manager cannot initialize
-
- We then tried to re-install Borland C++, and even re-installed our old
- version of Turbo C++ 1.01 both of which return the same error.
-
- We have called Borland, with little or no success, and re-installed DOS.
-
- We have 1024 KB installed, and even tried swapping a memory card from
- another PC to boost the memory up to 1600 KB. No Luck.
-
- Other attempts included deleting autoexec.bat and config.sys so that
- there is no driver wierdness going on but no luck.
-
- Please HELP.
-
- Thanks,
-
