- IDE drives employ a sector translation scheme; they have an actual format
- that is usually something like 36 or 53 sectors/track, but the controller
- translates this to 17 sectors/track with a higher-than-actual cylinder
- count.
- Since CALIBRAT has to know the _exact_ _actual_ hardware parameters in order
- to do a low level format, it cannot run with this (or any other) kind of
- sector translation scheme in place.
