- That is good to know. Now, what about something like SpinRite? The one
- time I tried SpinRite on an IDE drive that seemed to be having problems
- (which we later traced to something entirely different) SpinRite said
- it couldn't do a low level format, but could do serious pattern testing and
- would relocate blocks that looked like they were going bad. That would be
- about the same thing as Jerry's experience, no? On the other hand, I know
- folks who swear that a SpinRite diskette should never even be in the
- same room as an IDE drive! :-)
