- *Which* tar(1) clones did you try? (i.e. supplier, archive site,
- archive file name, author, etc..). I think the tar clone posted along
- time ago to comp.binaries.ibm.pc and probably available from SIMTEL (see
- comp.binaries.ibm.pc.archives on how to access SIMTEL) was quite OK. I
- think it was called PAX or somesuch (Just get the index from SIMTEL and
- browse).

- Personally I use the tar clone from the Mortice Kern Systems Toolkit.
- If you are used to UNIX then I stongly recommend the MKS Toolkit. It
- contains a Korn shell, vi and many, many UNIX utilities. You will feel
- quite at home.
