- I am presently involved in a little volunteer work to try and help
- a physically handicapped person gain a little access to the outside
- world through the use of a PC and a modem. The problem I've run
- into is trying to locate suppliers and/or manufacturers for the
- specialized input devices that would be required. Since this
- particular person is paralyzed from the neck down with no head
- momement and requires a respirator tube in his mouth, the possible
- solutions have become very limited. One possible solution would be
- a limited form of voice recognition interface to replace the
- keyboard. This would at least allow BBS access and such things as
- Prodigy. If anyone has any information on possible sources of PC
- interfaces for the handicapped and/or voice recognition
- alternatives it would be greatly appreciated !!
