  11. I have installed various UMB providers on my 486sx (Opti Chipset) in order
  12. to load all my TSR's + drivers into upper memory and they have worked fine
  13. as I now have a LOT more conventional memory to work with.

  15. Unfortunately windows 3.0 no longer runs in Enhanced mode and dies returning
  16. a "Insufficient memory to initialise Windows in Enhanced mode, remove any
  17. unecessary drivers and TSR's from config & autoexec files".

  19. The UMB providers I have used are UMB_DRVR.SYS (v5.21) and LASTBYTE.SYS
  20. using HIGHUMM.SYS (v2.11). I can't get either to work with windows.

  22. I have managed to exclude a 64k block at D000-DFFF so that EMM386.EXE (DOS5)
  23. can provide EMS. But windows enhanced mode still wont work!
