  29. The newest version of MXboot is v2.01, which I have posted it July of
  30. the last-year (1991), and RePosted in last Jan.  Documents for the
  31. MXboot-2.01 is RePosted at the 3-rd time, a couple of weeks ago.

  33. At the first time of its deliver, MXboot was v0.8 which does not
  34. support V2-File-systems and there was one mistake in "makefile",
  35. several days after it, I have posted its fix.

  37. There may be some difficulties in MXboot-2.01 posted last Jan;  if
  38. you install it under 386-minix.

  40. A couple of weeks ago, I have posted minix-V, which displays Japanese
  41. Kanji on IBM-PCs, and you will find all the files necessary to install
  42. MXboot in the package, there is no difficulties even if you want to
  43. install it under 386-version of minix.

  46. Thus my reccomendation is to get minix-V package and extract files
  47. from "kernel.tar", and patch your original sources by them.

  50. The "minix-V" package itself does not contain all the files to install
  51. (or modify from 16-bit-minix to) 386-minix, because it lacks ex. bcc
  52. or bcc's libraries, necessary to install 386-minix.  If you want to
  53. install 386-minix, you are necessary to get Bruce Evans's 386-kit.
  54. If you have Bruce's 386-kit, MXboot works on 386-minix besides pure
  55. PH's 16-bit-minix.  You can boot-up 386bsd from the second HDD by it.

  62. Unfortunately, I have no-access to IP, so I don't know where you can get
  63. it by FTP, but try nosc.mil, where broman@rats.nosc.mil (Vincent Broman)
  64. corrects many archives on Minix, or nodak.edu, or Mars-Hotel-BBS in
  65. Amsterdam.

  67. To send them via e-mail, it is too big, it consists of 8-messages and
  68. 7-messages of font-package, the latter you may not need.
