- Thank you for your attention to MXboot.

- No, I have poseted "minix-V" package to display Japanese Kanji on PC-ATs,
- but it may be half true, because the minix-V package contains the newest
- MXboot-package.

-
- The newest version of MXboot is v2.01, which I have posted it July of
- the last-year (1991), and RePosted in last Jan. Documents for the
- MXboot-2.01 is RePosted at the 3-rd time, a couple of weeks ago.
-
- At the first time of its deliver, MXboot was v0.8 which does not
- support V2-File-systems and there was one mistake in "makefile",
- several days after it, I have posted its fix.
-
- There may be some difficulties in MXboot-2.01 posted last Jan; if
- you install it under 386-minix.
-
- A couple of weeks ago, I have posted minix-V, which displays Japanese
- Kanji on IBM-PCs, and you will find all the files necessary to install
- MXboot in the package, there is no difficulties even if you want to
- install it under 386-version of minix.
-
-
- Thus my reccomendation is to get minix-V package and extract files
- from "kernel.tar", and patch your original sources by them.
-
-
- The "minix-V" package itself does not contain all the files to install
- (or modify from 16-bit-minix to) 386-minix, because it lacks ex. bcc
- or bcc's libraries, necessary to install 386-minix. If you want to
- install 386-minix, you are necessary to get Bruce Evans's 386-kit.
- If you have Bruce's 386-kit, MXboot works on 386-minix besides pure
- PH's 16-bit-minix. You can boot-up 386bsd from the second HDD by it.

-
- Unfortunately, I have no-access to IP, so I don't know where you can get
- it by FTP, but try nosc.mil, where broman@rats.nosc.mil (Vincent Broman)
- corrects many archives on Minix, or nodak.edu, or Mars-Hotel-BBS in
- Amsterdam.
-
- To send them via e-mail, it is too big, it consists of 8-messages and
- 7-messages of font-package, the latter you may not need.
