  18. The floppy disk device driver as distributed by Prentice Hall is
  19. _very_ buggy.  If you install the v1.5.10.1 patches (and, for that
  20. matter, v1.5.10.2) then those problems are alleviated.  You can ftp
  21. the patches from ftp.cs.vu.nl.

  29. I thought about doing something like that myself... then I bought
  30. a hard disk :-)  It certainly has its merits, though.

  35. The v1.5.10.1 patches include a device driver for Commodore hard disks
  36. (the A590, A2090, A2091 and A3000).  You'll have to ask around for any
  37. others.
