  12. I've been trying to get xload to run under X11R5 but although it compiles and
  13. the permissions are correct for it to reference /dev/kmem it doesn't work.
  14. I've tracked the problem to the actual lseek and read of the load average.
  15. The call to nlist for "_avenrun" returns some nl[0].value =0xc015b108 (which
  16. beats me if it's correct) and after the lseek to this offset and read into
  17. the double loadavg reports loadavg=-2.00 constantly.

  19. /usr/ucb/w works properly (believably at least) but attempts to copile w.c
  20. from the Mach sources gives the same results.  Can someone tell me what I'm
  21. missing here?  Thanks.
