- Hi everyone,
-
- I just installed the gcc2.2.2d release, and get the error message about
- the specs file. This file is located somewhere in the lib directory, and
- looks as if I shouldn't mess with it.
-
- Does anybody have a clue what I could have done wrong?
-
-
- Thanks in advance
-
- Roger.

- P.S. I switched root partitions so that I have a clean system
- to install gcc on. Last time I destructed a shared library and nothing
- would run anymore. Now I can switch back to the other root partition, and
- compile (and link -static) utilities that are needed, and copy them to
- the rootpartition where the installation is going on.
- P.S.2: Would it be possible to restrict filenames to 14 chars? This makes
- installation on the linux side easier (I am working on getting 0.97 with
- efs working/compiled) Also the bunch of dots in the filenames makes things
- hard when there is a dos disk in the transfer process.
