- (By God, this system is starting to piss me off! It's been a damned week since
- I've been able to post! BTW-the Registry is out; I uploaded it to tsx-11 since
- my host is so thoroughly fornicating vertically wrt my posts... Grr...)
-
- I'm having a hell of a time getting the stuff (other than the uucp stuff)
- to compile. Using GCC 2.2.2d (installed as per the instructions, with the
- fix (and without; it didn't make a dman bit of difference) posted to
- tsx-11), I get a smooth compilation up to a point, and I run into:
-
- ld: malformed input file (not rel or archive) /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux
- /2.2.2d/shared/libc.a(__shared.o)
-
- What in the name of God does this mean?! I tried re-downloading the relevant
- files and re-installing them, but to no avail. I tried installing the
- fix (2.2.2dfix.tar.Z from tsx-11), but _that_ didn't help. I didn't see
- anything in any of the documentation about this problem; and before you ask,
- yes, I installed it as per the instructions.
-
- I can compile the kernel with no problems whatsoever, but it seems like
- everything else I've tried with GCC 2.2.2d has come up with this same damned
- frustrating result!
-
- Can someone please help me?
