  11. I've seen a lot of discussion about this.  The people who were working on
  12. that for 386bsd complained that the timing requirements were extremely tight
  13. for running qic 40/80... At least too tight for a multitasking environment.

  15. If it were really necessary, I'd much rather have a tape backup program that
  16. ran in some sort of exclusive mode than nothing at all.
