- On my friend's 486 50 Mhz, with Adaptec 1542, we got a similar problem
- when we attempted booting using the 97.1 boot/root floppy images from tsx-11.
- The boot from the 5 1/4 " floppy A: never got to the "insert root floppy" point;
- we got rolling screens full of the error message from line 305 of aha1542.c
-
- printk("aha1542_queuecommand: Two concurrent queuecommand?\n");
-
- and had to reboot. At the same time, we could smell something getting hot
- (coincidence ??), so we stopped trying. Under NT and Windows, his machine
- continued to work fine.
-
- The same disks work fine with my 386 33Mhz and IDE drive. I also
- re-downloaded the boot image and compared to the one we used; identical.
-
- Help!!!
- Would appreciate any ideas.
