- I'm a newbie myself, but I suspect that there are several of us with
- the same question. Please summarize any responses you get.

- I'd guess that the really hard part to getting a tape driver up
- would be getting the vendor to part with sufficient documentation to
- write one. If anyone's trying to write such a driver and is stuck
- because the vendor is holding out, let us know and maybe (maybe) we
- can bring some pressure to bear.

- willing to junk it and buy from a vendor who will support the Linux
