- Hi y'all,
-
- I am interested in finding out if anybody has written or ported a matlab like
- program for Linux. I am looking for a program that will help me do engineering
- like stuff - not necessarily grahical stuff, but basic stuff like FFTs,
- convolution, etc ....
-
- If such a package does not exist, I would be interested in either porting a
- public domain version of it, or possibly writing one. Any suggestions on
- where I may find such a package or what it should contain were I to write one
- would be really appreciated.
-
- Also, I would like a feature in Linux - the On-line FAQ! This would contain
- some uptodate info on installation etc, and could serve as a "man" for
- non unix/computer types (like myself - a DOG 5.0 and Windoze 3.1 user).
- It could be downloaded directly from an archive and available online so we
- will not have to print it out every time a new item is added. I do not know
- who keeps the FAQ but this does seem like a good idea since it will remove
- a lot of barriers for the new Linux users.
