  13. Using mks vi under DOS I can map the umlaut equivalents of a,A,o,O,u,U
  14. to F1 through F6.  Does anyone know whether or not this is possible for
  15. any of the vi variants (vile,elvis) under Linux?  This is not of
  16. universal importance, but I do some corresponding in German and it would
  17. a help to me if I did not need to exit Linux and boot DOS just for this
  18. facility.   Thanks for any help.
