  15.     Thanks to everyone for their help.  The solution to compiling
  16. X-apps for 0.97p2 is quite simple.  You must install the libs from
  17. gcc2.2.2.  The only problem is that gcc2.2.2 is no longer available on
  18. tsx-11, at least not in the GCC directory.  I got around this by
  19. getting disk-7 from the SLS distribution, removing the redundant
  20. files, and installing everything under /usr/lib/gcc-lib .. /2.2.2/ Now
  21. you must add -V 2.2.2 to the cflags in every makefile.  Voila! It
  22. works great.  xv-2.21 is incredible.

  24.     Now I can compile any X-app on tsx-11 and run it under 0.97p2.
  25. Linux continues to amaze me everyday!  The combined briliance of all
  26. the programmers is staggering.  I look forward to the day in which I
  27. am able to contribute as more than an alpha/beta tester.
