- Thanks to everyone for their help. The solution to compiling
- X-apps for 0.97p2 is quite simple. You must install the libs from
- gcc2.2.2. The only problem is that gcc2.2.2 is no longer available on
- tsx-11, at least not in the GCC directory. I got around this by
- getting disk-7 from the SLS distribution, removing the redundant
- files, and installing everything under /usr/lib/gcc-lib .. /2.2.2/ Now
- you must add -V 2.2.2 to the cflags in every makefile. Voila! It
- works great. xv-2.21 is incredible.

- Now I can compile any X-app on tsx-11 and run it under 0.97p2.
- Linux continues to amaze me everyday! The combined briliance of all
- the programmers is staggering. I look forward to the day in which I
- am able to contribute as more than an alpha/beta tester.
