- 1) While trying to install ps-0.97 with my 0.97pl2 kernel, compilation
- complains about not finding the symbol LIBRARY_OFFSET - I've grepped
- through all the kernel source and haven't been able to find this
- symbol. Can anyone tell me where it is?
- 2) I need a sample /etc/mtools file as I haven't a clue about the
- number of sectors, etc, on my floppies.
- 3) How do I go about writing a boot-sector to my hard disk partition 1?
- I have run bootany and put the menu onto my hard disk, but I still
- can't boot off the partition I choose.
- 4) Why isn't 80x25 on the list of SVGA modes? If I absent-mindedly hit
- Return at boot, instead of some other key, I *must* pick a goofy
- graphics mode.
- 5) How can I get around this horrid 14-character limit on filenames?
-
- And finally a question: would anyone be interested in a module editor
- for Linux, with SB support? I'm thinking of writing one, and I'm just
- wondering if it would be worthwhile ...
-
- Cheers;
-
