  11. In the shadowed password file suite, there is a define for AUTOSHADOW which
  12. claims to provide compatibility to privileged applications which don't know
  13. about shadowed /etc/passwd files. Xlock and ftpd appear to be two of these;
  14. they both authenticate logins with passwords.
