- Hi Linuxers,
-
- Friday I bought my Deskjet500 (very hard to get even if you're willing
- to pay). I printed via latex, dvips, gs into a PCL-file and copied
- it to /dev/lp2 (was also trying lp1). My DJ500 printed one or two lines,
- then waited a while, and so on. Can someone explain me why it is
- /that/ slow ??
-
- A comparision:
-
- linux : cp page.1 /dev/lp2 ~ 3 min.
- a-mess-dos : COPY /B page.1 LPT2 ~ 20 sec.
