- I ran into this problem when installing the SLS on a friend's machine.
- It turned out to be because, in the original taz file, many of the
- filenames had been truncated. Instead of ending in .gwm they ended in
- .gw, .g, or .. This is not a problem if you are running from a Minix
- filesystem, but leads to errors if you are using the extended filesystem.

- Our solution was to rename all of the .g .gw to .gwm, and all of the .
- files to the same name without the ending dot. Gwm now runs perfectly.
