  31. I ran into this problem when installing the SLS on a friend's machine.
  32. It turned out to be because, in the original taz file, many of the
  33. filenames had been truncated.  Instead of ending in .gwm they ended in
  34. .gw, .g, or .. This is not a problem if you are running from a Minix
  35. filesystem, but leads to errors if you are using the extended filesystem.

  37. Our solution was to rename all of the .g .gw to .gwm, and all of the .
  38. files to the same name without the ending dot.  Gwm now runs perfectly.
