  11.     Firstly I want to say thanx to everyone who answered my original
  12. post helping me set up my linux system. Its now running fine.
  13.     But! A couple more questions at this stage.

  15.     I am using the standard mcc-interim (latest version 0.97p2).
  16.  
  17.     (1) I tried to compile one of my own programs which uses the math
  18. fuction sqrt. The compiler complained about it, it seemed to have problems
  19. linking in the library function.
  20.  
  21.     (2) How can I set up my modem so that friends can call in and use
  22. my system. I tried setting up the inittab file - which seems to be okay.
  23. But, it doesn't throw DTR high on the modem. So I forced the modem to forget
  24. about DTR. Someone tried calling, the modem picked up the line and connect,
  25. but linux didn't kick in for them. Nothing came up at their end - not even
  26. garbage. What am I not doing?
