  13. Now that the TCP/IP stuff is available for beta testing using WD (SMC?)
  14. boards, does anyone know if SLIP/PPP support is being worked on?

  16. One of the nice things about Linux is that it's cheap.  (actually, free!  :-)
  17. I would imagine that quite a few people are probably running Linux at home
  18. like myself and don't have their home wired with 10base2 or 10baseT or
  19. whatever... (yes, I *know* some of you do).  Therefore the Ethernet board
  20. TCP/IP support is nice, but not useable.
  21. If SLIP/PPP support was available, this would open up a heck of a lot more
  22. opportunities for people with 'just' modems.

  24. Is the TCP/IP stuff slated to be included in the next 'standard' Kernel
  25. release (Linus?).

  27. I notice that my machine has a 16450 instead of the 16550...is this going
  28. to be a problem when (if?) SLIP becomes available?
