- I'd love to see something like this. I work with raytracers etc a lot and have
- at the moment 113 1.4MB image files. I'd like to calculate the pics a bit
- bigger but I don't have the space. These are TGA format images and I once
- compressed them with ARJ to get them home. They (84 pics) went from 117.6 MB to
- 14.3 MB. I have obtained similar results from Stacker but had to get rid of it
- for various DOS compatibility reasons. Once I get 0.97 Linux (I'm waiting for
- a tape to arrive) I'll compile everything for Linux and do my work there.
- Having a /usr/compressed/pics directory with on-the-fly compression would be
- a dream come true.
