  10. Firstly, kudos (!) to Linus on the great job with the .97 release.  I 
  11. was grudging the upgrade (had been using .95c+) but went smooth and
  12. was well worth it!  Furthermore, upgraded to the .97 version of the root
  13. (which saved about 4megs of disk space!) which is also much better.

  16. I am now in the process of getting the kernel to compile however I am getting
  17. some strange results.  I am using a 2M swap file (NOT partition).  I get
  18. some errors during swaps like:
  19. rw_swap: bad swapfile
  20.  
  21. This occurs during compilation using gcc 2.2.2d with 4M RAM and 2M swap.
  22. Any ideas?  Thanks.
