  10. I hate to post this, but has anyone had a similar problem with xterm ?

  12. X11 works in 800x600 on my machine (I still have to find proper timings for
  13. 1024x768, anyone has that for clocks 25 28 64 36 ?).

  15. I have a nice picture, almost everything works (xclock, xeyes, twm, x11perf,...)
  16. but NOT xterm. It displays nothing, but I can hear considerable disk activity
  17. while it loads, then nothing as it disappears silently. It's a real pain.

  19. Yes I'm running as root (anyway xterm is suid root), yes my paths are right, no
  20. there is no error message of any kind, yes the executables looks right...
