- The SMC Elite16 series is claimed to be compatible with the WD 8013.
- (I heard a rumor that WD is no longer making cards, and SMC has taken
- over their line, but I'm by no means sure of that.) This is the
- standard card at Rutgers, and I'm not surprised that it's the standard
- card at CMU as well. They perform very well, have lots of software
- that supports them, and aren't very expensive. I've used one
- successfully with the WD driver under 386BSD and we.c under Linux.
- Since the new TCP/IP seems to be using a later version of we.c, I'd be
- *very* surprised if it didn't work.
