  21. The claim is that they will run i386 COFF executables, and they do.
  22. However, programs that use system-specific ioctl()'s, etc. will most
  23. likely choke and die (one of our packages does this very thing.)

  27. Pretty much the same position as your question about networking.
  28. X would probably not be a great boon to a majority of the Coherent
  29. users anyhow (yes, you get the operating system for $100 but then have
  30. to run out and purchase $3000 worth of hardware to get acceptable
  31. performance...)
