  23. Nevertheless needs WNEWS (like GNEWS) some fixes before it works with 4.0.
  24. Also there are two bugs (at least) when using WNEWS with Coherent.

  29. TIN already has an installation script. It's nothing more that cp'ing it to
  30. /usr/local/bin and setting permissions.

  32. NEVERTHELESS:
  33.  
  34. Assume one has to write each time an extra installation script after he ports
  35. a program. Then you can be sure that only very few guys will ever give their
  36. ports to the public. The programs are in most cases without installation 
  37. script even in their original posted form.

  39. ALSO: A NEWS-System is always very difficult to install. When I first got
  40. CNEWS for 386/ix a friend came over and installed and configured my news
  41. system. Even a good script cannot solve all problems that may occur.
