- Appended is a "Summary of Vegetarian/Natural Food dining in Baltimore"
- I complied three years ago. I have not checked any of the information
- since then, except that Bloodroot is still alive and exquisite in
- Bridgeport, CT.
-
- There were also quite a few good restaurants 8 to 12 blocks north of the
- Harbor area on N.Charles. This included a bookstore cafe on the west
- side of the street with excellent cuisine at reasonable prices
- (including vegetarian selections). Sadly, the name escapes me.

-
- If you are driving from New England, i recommend you plan a lunch stop
- at Bloodroot, 85 Ferris St, Bridgeport, CT 06605 (203)576-9168.
-
- It's one of the best vegetarian/natural food restaurants in the
- Northeast (and better than Kung Food in San Diego). Run by a Feminist
- collective. There is a small bookstore and t-shirt vendory attached.
- It's about a mile off I-95 on the harbor. Take Exit 25 turning south
- onto Fairfield Ave, at the third stop light take a left onto Ellsworth
- Street, take the second left onto Thruston Street, right onto Harbor
- Ave, left onto Ferris. Call first to make sure they are open. Last
- time i was there, their hours were: Lunch: 11:30 to 2:30, Tues, Thurs,
- Fri, Sat. Dinner: 6 to 9 Tues and Thurs, 6 to 11 Fri and Sat.
- Brunch: 11:30 to 2:30 Sun.
