  16. itself, an illegal activity. The small freelance nuts harassing you were
  17. not also engaged in illegal and unethical activities that you shared. The
  18. fact that they were Pagans is irrelevant.

  26. This might be true, but in the Pagan's case they have done nothing wrong.

  34. THIS IS NOT A MCCARTHY STYLE WITCH HUNT. The people being hunted *are*
  35. engaged in objectively dangerous and unethical behaviour. McCarthy was
  36. after people whose only sin was to disagree.

  38. This isn't to say it's not outrageous, nor that they're not overreacting,
  39. nor that they're not sucking up innocent people (Steve Jackson, for example)
  40. into the mess. But in this case, unlike the McCarthy witch trials, the
  41. pagan situation, or the original Salem witch trials for that matter, there
  42. is a real problem at the core. The folks harassing Goggins, if they did
  43. all of the things alleged, are crooks regardless of whether they harassed
  44. him. The neopagans you were talking about weren't.

  46. By binding the two events together, you will hurt the pagans and not help
  47. yourself.
