- ) Yes, there is, but without knowing what kind of system "YYY" is I
- )can't tell you specifically. Basically, you can simply insert your
- )own "From: AAA@XXX" header, and the mail software will accept that
- )(although it will add a "Sender: BBB@YYY" line to point out that you
- )are not who you say you are. Nevertheless, your friends will not be
- )confused.

- Sorry, I don't think that helps everyone. Berkeley mail (if I assume
- that the 4.3 tahoe one can speak for the other ones) does not allow
- the user to add any more than {To,Subject,Cc,Bcc}. I have long been
- wanting to use a Reply-To with it. Seeing your Message-ID I assume it
- is GNUS and so I can assume that you use some sort of mailer that
- speaks directly to the MTA. Sendmail doesn't allow From line override
- unless the user is 'trusted'.
-
- When will Reply-To become a standard option in BSD mail? :-( Please,
- no MUA wars. As much as I love to use vi, I love using mail (ofcourse
- coupled with the power of vi).
-
- I would be happy to take a Sendmail rule for that if somebody can give
- me one. Till then I guess I will have to use Rnmail for such things.
