- I believe I have found a bug in Eudora 1.3b46. I changed the "Navigate
- In", "Navigate Out", and "telnet" (7400.13) strings and was able to
- successfully log in to my mail server. Unfortunately, next time I tried it
- I got the message:
-
- "Sorry - the serial port selected is in use and is not available."
-
- There is also a Comm Toolbox Icon with a little satellite dish in the
- message box. This only happens after I gotten mail once with Eudora.
- Eudora will always get the mail the first time I try regardless of any
- serial port software I may previously have run.
-
- It sounds to me like Eudora is not freeing the port after it is finished.
- If my diagnosis is wrong, some one please correct me. If it is right, I
- would appreciate knowing that Steve got the message.
-
- Thanks,
- Clarke
