  14. Sorry if this question has been asked and answered several times but
  15. I am new to this group and have not seen any related postings here.

  17. My question is this, we have a network of NeXT machines each running
  18. NeXTmail and their mailboxes are local on each users machine. These 
  19. people want to be able to read/reply to there mail from on the road
  20. using either a notebook PC or a PowerBook dialing in through a SLIP
  21. line. I have looked into running a POP server on each machine and 
  22. then using a POP SLIP client on the portables but then either the 
  23. mail remains in the mail spool to be gotten a second time by the 
  24. POP client or it is removed from the spool not allowing 
  25. incorporation into the Nextmail system. I recall some mention of
  26. PINE and IMAP in an earler postings, will that do what we need.
  27. Where can I get some more information on these srevers and respective
  28. clients?

  30. Any feedback on this problem would be helpful. I am new to Nextmail
  31. and pointers would be very useful.
