-
- Absolutely, the filter can be used as a stand-alone product. But, I would
- not personally recommend this filter. This may be a biased opinion, since
- I am the author of another filter program, but the truth is I decided to
- write my own after I tried to use ELM's one and did not manage to get it
- do what I wanted it to do. My perl filter may be retrieved via
- anonymous FTP:
-
- Host: ftp.eff.org (192.88.144.4),
- Directory: /pub/net-tools
- File: perl-mailagent.tar.Z
-
- The current version is 2.9 PL10. You do NOT need any special privilege to
- install this filter. I tried to combine all the nice features from
- "concurrent" filter programs like procmail or deliver. I'm afraid not much
- was stolen from ELM's filter ;-).
-
- Deliver was posted in comp.sources.reviewed and was written by
- Chip Salzenberg <chip@tct.com>. And procmail is authored by
- Stephen R. van den Berg <berg@pool.informatik.rwth-aachen.de> and is
- avaliable via anonymous FTP:
-
- Host: ftp.informatik.rwth-aachen.de (137.226.112.31)
- Directory: /pub/unix
- File: procmail.tar.Z
-
- I can't say more without loosing my objectivity. And anyway, it's all
- a matter of personal taste.
