  10. I am using Elm 2.2 for unix.  In reading the documentation for aliases (by
  11. David Taylor), I find described a very useful feature described: the
  12. hostname routing database.  I am trying to figure out how to use this, but
  13. I am quite frustrated by the vague phrase:  "... stored in the file
  14. pointed to by _pathfile_ for Elm (and other programs) to use." 
  15.  
  16. I do not understand where I am to put the file.  Should it be in a special
  17. place?  Should it have a special name?  Should I set an environment
  18. variable to point to the file?  Has anyone ever used this feature?  I've
  19. tried all of the obvious things.  Help????
