  14. I have a Unisys 5000/80 running SysVr3 (Unisys 5.1) with NET-5000.  It has
  15. (badly brain-damaged) 4.1c type socket stuff.  I can get it to compile ok,
  16. but the link blows up (in doio.c) on such things as gethostent(), bind()...
  17. Am I going to have to rewrite all of the socket code, create my own library
  18. to handle those calls, or something else?  Can I even get there from here?
  19. Bottom line, is someone already there?  I could have a perl with no socket
  20. support, but I would really like to have that.
