  21. I have perl 4.035 up & running on ISC R3.2 v3.0.

  23. I first compiled it using interactives 'cc' which compiled it ok but 
  24. failed 3 tests (forgot which ones) and then it sometimes dumped core.

  26. I eventually got it to work correctly by compiling with GNU gcc v2.2.2
