  13. While using gdb-4.6 with g++-2.2.2 I have noticed that printing:

  15.     1. The "this" pointer
  16.     2. Any static member variable (e.g., foo::bar)
  17.  
  18. is considerably slower than gdb-4.5 is.
  19.  
  20. Does anyone know why?  Can it be fixed?
