  14. Ada Italy is born.

  16. It has been founded in Pisa (Italy) the association Ada Italy, a 
  17. not-for-profit, cultural association.
  18.  
  19. Its main goal is to represent a national reference for the exchange of
  20. information and experiences on the use of the Ada programming language.
  21.  
  22. Other objectives include the promotion of research and study activities
  23. on Ada related topics and the promotion of the teaching, training and use
  24. of Ada and software engineering technologies.
  25.  
  26. Current members of the association are: Alenia Sistemi Civili, 
  27. Alenia Spazio, A.R.I., ENCORE Computers, Intecs Sistemi, 
  28. LABEN, MODIS Marconi Olivetti Defence Information Systems, 
  29. Officine Galileo, SSI Space Software Italia, TXT Ingegneria 
  30. Informatica, CNR National Research Council and various Universities.
