- This is for those of you who haven't looked for a job
- in the Bay Area in computer graphics. There are a lot of you
- and a lot more coming I'm sure so you should know that...
-
- . headhunters are valuable resources but haven't much time for
- those of you without LOCAL experience. This can be a shock if
- you've worked for four or five years at something you figure your
- good at, you enjoy, and you want to help others do.
-
- . a headhunter MAY say something to you like "If your not willing
- to commute a hundred miles a day, work 60 to 80 hours a week,
- and take orders, there are others who will."
-
- . if asked by headhunter "What do you really want to do?" don't
- say "Eat, I guess." The charming headhunter may say "I'm sure you
- will eat." and show you the door.
-
- This happened to me and I'm doing fine so don't worry about those
- two car garages stuffed with Acuras and chain link fence around the
- tennis court and health insurance and paying for your kids college.
- I'm sure you will eat.
