- A fine reference on several graphics formats is "Bit-Mapped Graphics" by
- Steve Rimmer, published and copyrighted in 1990 by Windcrest Books (Windcrest
- books is an imprint of TAB Books which is a division of McGraw-Hill, Inc.).
-
- This book includes info on MacPaint, GEM/IMG, PCX, GIF, and TIFF formats,
- along with code to read (and write?) all of these.
-
- Rimmer's new book, "Supercharded Bitmapped Graphics" (same publisher info,
- copyright is 1992) covers GIF, IFF/LBM, WPG (WordPerfect Graphics), BMP and
- MSP (of Microsoft Windows fame), PIC, TGA (Targa), PCX, and TIFF formats.
- This book also includes file format descriptions (as did the first volume)
- and code to manipulate the formats.
