  12. I'm looking for software that will allow an arbitrary application to
  13. extract data from a digitized document.
  14.  
  15. For example, given the digitized image of a completed paper form with
  16. check-boxes, hand-written numbers, and free-form text, I want to enter
  17. the data represented on that form into my database (FoxPro, Oracle, etc).
  18.  
  19. So basically, this software would need to be able to identify a check mark
  20. and block numbers.  The free-form text could be stored as an image (no OCR).
