- I originally posted some questions regarding the independent use of two
- monitors on the same computer. The idea behind this is:
- - run a data acquisition program under Windows 3.1 using the colour VGA
- monitor.
- - run a separate program (to be written in Turbo C++, Turbo Pacsal 6.0, or
- Turbo Pascal for Windows) to display a small moving object on a different
- monitor, but connected to the same computer.
- - a person watching the second monitor, following the object with their eyes,
- has their pupil positions recorded by some A/D board, controlled by the
- acquisition software seen on this first monitor.
- - it would be nice if the second monitor was also VGA, to avoid ghosting from
- the moving object.
-
- Solutions so far:
- - use a graphics board (complete with software) from
- a. Colorgraphic Communication Corp, Atlanta, GA
- b. Digiboard
- - use a combination of VGA and Hercules monitors + cards, which can be made
- independent in Windows when running different applications.
-
- I have further questions...
- - Are there any other companies which sell these sorts of products?
- - What are their postal or phone, fax contact details so I can get in touch
- with them?
- - Has anyone done this sort of thing before - using two independent monitors?
- - If so, how?
- - What are the names of some data acquisition packages (including A/D board)
- which will run under Windows 3.X?
-
-
- I will post solutions once I have gathered sufficient information.
-
- Thanks,
- Mike Miles.
