- The only 3D digitizers I am familiar with are made by
- Cyberware, in Monterey, California. They make at least
- two models, one that rotates around the subject, and one
- that translates along a beam. Each scanner outputs one
- slice of the 3D model every little bit that it travels. They
- also capture a color image at the same time as they generate
- the 3D model.

- I have used one of their products a few times, and they seem
- well made, and to work fairly well.
