  13. The only 3D digitizers I am familiar with are made by
  14. Cyberware, in Monterey, California.  They make at least
  15. two models, one that rotates around the subject, and one
  16. that translates along a beam.  Each scanner outputs one
  17. slice of the 3D model every little bit that it travels.  They
  18. also capture a color image at the same time as they generate
  19. the 3D model.

  21. I have used one of their products a few times, and they seem
  22. well made, and to work fairly well.
