  13.  While using emacs interactively with Lucid Common Lisp, I keep running into the
  14. following problem:

  16.         For no reason that I can figure, emacs does not let me do some
  17. commands - including control X O.  When I try to use these commands, I
  18. get the error "Wrong type argument: integerp, nil".
  19.  
  20. I've tried hitting control G, control c control c, but the only way to get
  21. out of it seems to exit lisp and then reenter it and reload my program.
  22.  
  23. Is there some other way to deal with this error message?
