- [Begin uncalled for sarcasm]
-
- On behalf of all the mere programmers, CS types etc. in the entire
- world we grovel at the feet of the magnificent Physicists who condescend
- to gift us with their presence.
-
- [End uncalled for sarcasm]
-
- Blech. Sorry, but I've been following this conversation and finally
- overloaded! :-)
-
- The
- "We X's could learn how to do what you Y's do very easily, but
- it would be very hard for a Y to become an exalted X."
- viewpoint gets old *real* fast. I've heard this same argument applied
- to hardware vs. software engineering, martial arts styles, etc. etc.
-
- A good physicist worked hard and needs intelligence to do his thing.
- A good programmer/analyst/computer scientist also works hard and
- needs intelligence. Each can learn enough of the other's field
- to be as dangerous, competent, or expert as they desire.
-
- Apologies to any realisticly egotistical physicists out there. ;-)
