  31. Exactly. What's more, with C++ I can have arbitrary precision integers,
  32. arbitrary precision rational numbers, fixed point real numbers, etc.
  33. (all of these are available using GNU's libg++). If you want
  34. quaternions, then it's no big deal to add them too.

  36. Of course there is no single language that will please everybody, but IMHO
  37. teaching new CS students Fortran is not making the best use of the
  38. limited course time available.
