- The docs list 2 ways. I don't have them with me here, but the
- solution is there. One way is a commandline switch (i think it's
- -2, so you type vile -2 and it comes in 25 line mode) the other
- way is a set command in the vile.rc file. It is also documented.
- If you can't find these, email me and i will dig them for you.

- Now, vi.
-
- What i have found so far:
-
-
- Calvin 2.1 - nice and fast, but doesn't have :s (search/replace)
- command.
-
- Oak Hill - nice and with good extensions, but $60 (hahaha)
- sharewhare.
-
- Vile - Very interesting, but still unstable (memory problems,
- etc.) but you might like this one. It's basically an emacs that
- responds to vi commands, cute.
-
- Elvis 1.6 - this is 99.9% vi, all commands in all modes, plus
- many very good extensions. The newest version has a few unixoid
- quirks that i don't like (you have to have some specific
- directories, have to set some environment variables, etc.), but
- what the heck, it's free, and it's so good that these things
- become tollerable.
